Q: What are the Mas Camp opening hours?

A: Tears Mas Camp is open Monday to Friday, 6pm – 9pm.  The Mas Camp is closed on Weekends & Public Holidays

 

Q: Where can I view Tears costumes?

A: Tears Mas costumes can be viewed online at www.tearsmas.com

 

Q: When is costume registration for the new carnival year?

A: Tears Mas costume registration generally takes place three days after the Band Launch.  Please visit our website for regular updates on registration dates and deadlines.

 

Q: What do I need for costume registration?

A: For registration, you need the following:

Size Information:

Ladies:  Bra Size, Hip measurement (in inches), Bottom Piece Size [S, M, L, Etc]

Ladies:  Bra Option (Bra, Monokini, Corset and Tankini)

Ladies: Bottom Piece option (Bikini, Thong, Hot Shorts, Boy shorts)

Men:  Waist Size (in inches) Bottom Size [S, M, L, Etc] and Chest Size

Deposit:

Backline Female Nebula: £75.00

Frontline Female Centaurus: £150.00

Premium Female Andromeda: £200.00

Male Centaurus: £80.00

Fun Mas Female: £75.00

Fun Mas Male: £75.00

Q: Can I order extra items with my costumes?

A: Depending on the costumes different additional options may be available.  Generally for ladies the options are as follows:

Additional Boy Shorts/Hot Shorts Bottom – £10

Additional Tankini – £15

Additional Corset – £35

Additional Monokini -£15

Q: How do I register to play with Tears Mas?

A: Tear Mas may offer a limited number of costumes for open registration. All costume availability is on a first come first served basis.

Q: I did not get a costume … Can I be placed on a waiting list?

A: Unfortunately Tears Mas does not maintain a waiting list, however, costumes may be purchased from masqueraders who are no longer able to play at same cost. Contact us for more information.

 

Q: I have purchased a costume from another masquerader… How do I transfer the costume to my name?

A: Tears Mas does not facilitate costume transfers.  Please ensure you bring a letter from the original costume owner authorising you to collect on their behalf.

 

Q: I have purchased a costume or Fun Mas after the cut-off date – what do I need to collect the costume?

A: The original owner must provide you with a signed letter authorising you to collect the costume on their behalf, accompanied by a copy of the original owner’s ID.  Alternatively, the original owner can send an authorisation email to tears321@outlook.com

 

Q: I am unable to collect my costume … Can another person collect on my behalf?

A: Yes, you must provide the person collecting with a signed letter authorising them to collect the costume on your behalf, accompanied by a copy of your ID.  Alternatively, you can send an authorisation email to tears321@outlook.com

 

Q: When do I collect my Fun Mas costume?

A: The costume distribution schedule will be emailed to all masqueraders and posted on our website.  Different sections will have different distribution dates.  The final date of costume distribution is 23rd August 2017, after which all uncollected costumes will no longer be available.

 

Q: I missed my collection date – what can I do?

A: You can collect your costume on any day after your designated date, prior to the deadline, however priority is given to persons collecting on their designated day.

 

Q: What is the Fast Track service?

A: Fast Track is a priority service provided by Tears Mas giving masqueraders who have paid in full for their costumes priority during the costume collection process.

 

Q: When do I need to pay for my costume?

A: Your deposit must be paid upon registration, otherwise your order will be incomplete and immediately cancelled.  Costumes must be paid for in full prior to collection, deadline for balance payments is 23rd of June 2017.  Masqueraders payments are done via bank or online transfer.

 

Q: How can I pay for my costume or Fun mas?

A: Details for making payments are in the costume section on our website

 

Q: I have collected my costume but it does not fit.

A: You must ensure all measurements and sizes provided are accurate. There can be no alterations to costumes after measurements have been submitted.

 

Q: What do I get when I come to collect at Costume Distribution?

A: You will receive your costume package in full, Tears Mas Goody Bag, Cup and Tears Mas Wristband. Premium and Frontline sections also receive an army T - shirt and wrist band for Sunday.  Your costume is not complete without a wristband and masqueraders not wearing their wristbands will be removed from the band.

Q: Is there a mobile rest room available for masqueraders?

A: Yes, there is a mobile rest room available for masqueraders that is charged for separately at a rate of £10 per day.

 

Q: How do I register to play Tears Mas Army T - shirt?

A: You can register via our website www.tearsmas.com in the Army section.

 

Q: How do I pay for my Army T-shirt?

A: Full payment details available within the Army section on the website

 

Q: How do I join the Tears Mas Mailing list?

A: Send an email to tears321@outlook.com under heading add to mailing list.

 

Q: I have not been receiving emails from Tears Mas… what can I do?

A: Please send an email to tears321@outlook.com with your information so that we can update our records with your correct email address. Once your address has been updated please do not unsubscribe from any emails you received from us via mail chimp.

 

Q: What does Tears Mas all-inclusive package include?

A: Tears Mas all-inclusive package includes premium alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks, breakfast, lunch, security and of course your costume.

 

Q: Who are Tear Mas affiliates?

A: Tears Mas is affiliated with Legion Mas and Euphoria Colours Mas

 

Q: What events do you host annually?

A: Tears Mas annual events include our Band Launch, Notting Hill Carnival, our After Party and New Years’ Eve Party.

 

Q: I am interested in providing a service / becoming a sponsor of Tears Mas – who do I contact?

Q: Can my husband/wife jump in the band?

A: Tears Mas only allows paying masqueraders to jump in the band.  Non-masqueraders may observe from outside of the band’s security zones however they will not be allowed in the band.

 

Q: What music is played on the road?

A: Tears Mas offers a variety of DJs with different styles to appeal to every masquerader.

 

Q: Where does the band meet?

A: The starting point is in Kensington Gardens, exact location may vary so be sure to check your members guide [map] which is included with your costume package.

 

Q: What time do we start?

A: The band departs at 10:00 am on Carnival Sunday and Carnival Monday.

 

Q: What time should masqueraders arrive?

A: On Sunday arrival time is 8:30 am and on Monday it is 7:30 - 8:00am
